Waxholm has become my second home over the years. I have been here so many times that I get a special greeting from the harbour staff. It makes me very specially welcome.
Since this will be only a flying visit to Akka, I have not set myself big DIY projects this year. Some things need fixing though. The main hatch developed a leak and the bimini needed some stitches. I found at Hästnacken a perfect spot to keep myself busy.

Getting Akka ready this summer was a breeze. I think I had everything done in under 4 hours, then another couple of hours to sort out cleaning the tank, sails and lines. Shame that somebody nicked my brand-new batteries though 🙁
Happy birthday Akka! She has turned 49 and I am so glad to be able to celebrate the birthday at least for a few weeks. Here she is “at home” at Gällno – still going strong before the big one next year.
