Today I had my eyes firmly set on Akersberga where I was planing to shop, shop, shop. I left Ramsmora after a nice pottering about time at 08:45 and motored all the way to Akersberga. There was little wind and I wanted to get to the shops asap. My plan was to go the canal up all the way in order to wheel the supermarket trolley right to the boat. And boy, do I like it when a plan works out!
I also picked up a new dinghy which is awaiting inflating later today. The main excitement of the day however was the new fridge. I decided to replace the old one, as I was convinced it was damaged and that the coolant has leaked. Refilling the coolant these days requires all sorts of certificates as well as UN and NATO approval. Dismantling the old unit proved somewhat difficult. The cooling unit is not very reachable and it took me 1 1/2 hours to get it finally out. The old vaporizer is a completely different beast. I gave up after an hour and am pondering how to proceed. The main problem seems that it is glued into the inside of the fridge and I can get it off.
Needless to say that the boat looks a total mess.
