Once on land the next job started. Getting her covered for the winter. And let me tell you it is not an easy task. First you have to put up the frame for the tarpaulin. It consists of dozens of tubes that have to be fitted together in the right order. Since I can’t store them in the garage I needed to dismantle everything in the spring and it was now pay-back time. It took the best part of 2 hours to get the frame up.
And now the real fun started. Akka came with three huge tarpaulins and when we took them off in the spring we believed in the power of our memories and did not take notes or pictures how the three sheets were wrapped around the frame and Akka’s underside. Monday afternoon was pay-back time for our neglect. Our respect for Christo increased dramatically. Here the result of our efforts.
