Well, there was actually no happy-hour at Gällnö, but we did buy a drink each at Gällnö which was the start to a number of happy hours. As always, frightening how expensive alcohol is here in Sweden. But as we are paying everything from the Bord-Kassa (communal boat purse into which every crew member pays an equal amount of cash into at the start of the holiday), it feels somehow less expensive.
Encouraged by the drink at the bar we continued with beer, wine and gin during dinner on board, which lasted well past the standard Swedish bedtime. I hope we were not too load discussing the improvement of my hemorrhoids, Austria, the EU and the world at large.
