As an Austrian with some experience in how a mountain can be turned into tourist-money, I have to doff my cap to the enterprising people of Docksta. The mountain is not more than 300 meters high, but they have:
- A chair lift
- A ski piste
- A mountain hut with stunning views and prices
- A “Naturum” nature museum
- A climbing school with some scary looking climbs and a few “Via Ferratas” routes
- 4 decent walks up and down the hill
I decided to take the easy route up, which was quite as well, as I was getting tired after my 4am wake up call and 6 weeks on a 10 meter boat.
I must admit, not only the touristic efforts reminded me of Austria – judge for yourself.
