Sometimes you see an island crowded by cormorants, that nest in its trees. The bird population is massive compared to the size of the island. This also means that the amount of bird droppings is vast and all the trees die as a result. It looks eerie. You can hear the screeches and when you approach from the worng side, you can smell the stench. Spooky!
