The early bird catches the … gentle wind. I was off at 8am and had a wonderful sail to Furusund. There was a gentle 2 Bft andI had the Baltic all to myself, or so it seemed. No sailing boats, no motor boats and the big-fuckers came only out at 11am. With big fuckers I mean the big cruisers – they are enormous, or as Margit, afrien of ours, calls them aptly “Gemeindebauten”. It is an excellent expression, after all they have approx 10 floors (above sea level) and are about 200-300 meters long. Once I had fueled up at Furusund I had at one stage 7 in my sight. Amazing!
The wind then picked up and since my tendinitis is getting worse, I decided to call it a day at 1-ish and headed for Gisslingö. There I spent an afternoon doing bugger all (apart from pottering about) and enjoyed the Swedish summer (ssh, 30 degrees, but don’t tell anybody or more tourists will come).
Here a photo from the sunset last night – boring, I know.
And here the view from the kitchen window today 🙂
