After a couple of days in Norrtälje, I filled up the boat with water, provisions fresh laundry and electricity and left around midday. Since I could not find a pumping station at Norrtälje, I decided to open the valve some miles out of Notträlje.
Stuck! It won’t budge.
Mhm, interesting situation, as I have now a full tank that I have to carry around and can’t get rid of the contents.
At the end of the channel to Norrtälje lies Graddö, where I managed to find a pumping station, which means that I have an empty tank now.
I have a few options now
- Call Ramsmora for help in replacing the valve
- Sail on with a stuck valve and always use the pumps
I think I will go for option 1, as I can’t remember the frequency of the pumps in the Aalands, or Estonia.
Here, the shitty valve with the handle showing almost in the open position. This is because I forced the handle in this position and not the valve inside itself (I think)
