A long journey to Visby.
The forecast predicted more light winds from the south. And a southerly when going south, is a pain in the south-side.
So, as we pootled along nicely amongst the islands, we had to make a choice – engine on and motor through some long and narrow straits or a long tack out to sea and back again. We went for the latter and as we headed out the wind angle changed and we could actually lay Visby on Gotland – our ultimate summer destination. Sure, a long haul but hey, the Forecast was good, except for a total lull around midnight and then some light northerly from 3am onwards.
We went for it and it workout out fine – almost. The light northerly never materialized and we had to motor the last 5 hours, but this was a good thing as Victoria’s stomach could recover in the flat sea.
And beautiful seascapes and a spectacular sunset and a sunrise-on-fire. Btw: the photos are not photoshopped!

And here the thing in reverse order

wau what an sunset …. and sunrise , maybe you consider night sailing here after
