A holiday from the boat was called for. We took a bus to a charming old town not far from Helsinki. Porvoo is definitely worth a visit, it has an old city centre where you can wander around for hours (and have very nice food).
Incredible heat and sunshine meant that the bus driver suggested to us to wait for the next bus, as the air conditioning on his bus was broken down! Global warming am myth then.
