I am anchoring just in front of the Gasthamn today. The reason is a bit embarrassing to tell and goes like this.
The harbour was pretty full when I arrived and all the bouys were taken. Some of them were only taken by a single boat and I could have double-up, but the owners were not on board. Coming in on your own in close quarters is always a bit tricky, but coming close to 2 boats is sometimes not that easy. OK, that was reason one. The other reason was that “good old faithful” was making a terrible racket today. I have yet to find out what makes the engine so loud sometimes. Anyway, coming in between 2 boats without their owners is stressful enough, but having to fiddle with the revs while doing all that was a good enough reason to anchor just off the moored boats. And here is reason no 3. I have been here before and know that he view of the pretty houses is so much better from where I am anchoring 🙂
