DIY-day

The shitty valve works again! After we went to a septic tank pumping station, I flushed the tank with lots of fresh water. I then noticed that the valve was actually open. More vigorous flushing and I could actually move the valve again. t probably was just clogged up as I kept it closed for almost 2 years. It seems we are back in business on that front.

I also replaced the broken Peken (platform at the front that helps to get on and off the boat). The old one had a broken steel frame and was really wobbly (and getting dangerous). I bought the same model, and though it is much sturdier than the last one, its horizontal support rod is a bit short. That means that the platform points somewhat downwards. Mm, let’s see what the catalogue says before I drill another hole into the boat.
