Kökar

Back in the Aalands!

We left Björko relatively early at approx 20 knots of wind. Going out from Björko was therefore a little bit exciting but all was well. 2nd reef and we zipped along nicely beating into the westerly. The wind soon slowed down, picked up, slowed down, picked up … You get the idea.

Therefore a busy sailing day in glorious sunshine!

We aimed at Kökar where yours truly made a complete fool of himself. The harbourmaster suggested to come into a spot where pylons were provided. All this in a breeze. Having set-up Akka for a buoy, I had to re-jig the ropes – and failed. Thanks to my temperamentful propeller I had to turn on the spot – very close to a Swedish yacht (very calm and very nice people). So, on the second attempt I was stressed as I had to re-jig the ropes back to the buoy set-up – and failed again!

With the help of all yachties we got Akka snugly in.

A lot of wind, clouds and rain for the evening. And the forecast is not much better 🙁
