Akka’s sides have seen better days and some previous owner decided to paint her. This paint is coming off now in places and gives Akka a somewhat mottled effect. I bought some 3M foil that is used in car- and boat wrapping and decided to give it a go. The intention is to wrap the sides and also to hide the 70s orange with some pristine white.
Well, the answer is: This is a job for the pro and not for me. The foil is great and actually quite easy to handle but to make the finished result look good ,you need a lot of experience and hands. Nonetheless I am pleased with my first test-run.
