Our jumping off point to Estonia is Örö, what a beauty and what a name! It was used as a military installation but that does not hamper the beauty of the island. Unfortunately this is known to many sailors, so the little guest harbour was full. But we were directed to a another mooring jetty, used for pilots I think.
Our getting up at 4am was not rewarded with a speedy crossing however. The forecast showed some wind, but it turned out to be “no wind”. After 10 miles in 5 hours we gave up and motored to Hankö. Still a long way (4 hours) but in the end Hankö welcomed us with a summery atmosphere.
