We arrived at Sandhamn and somehow a midsommar party is happening on a Friday and we are in the middle of it. Not sure why as I always thought this is a Saturday thing, but maybe festivities go on here all weekend. The most bizarre thing is the amount of police patrolling the centre to make sure no alcohol gets consumed.
But the dancing at the Midsommarstång was very nice indeed – dry weather, loads of happy people and the ubiquitous floral crowns! (I always take pictures from the back as I don’t want to appear as a perv).
