After almost a week it was time to say good-bye to Helsinki. We decided to make use of the nice weather and the westerly to get to Tallinn in time to meet Fizz&Joshi.
An early start, coffee and tidy-up was all done when i noticed a few hundred meteres after the harbour that the GPS threw a wobbly and it told me that we were on terra firma. A good half hour of pressing buttons resolved the issue and off we went. (A system reset did the job – no idea what it was).
Fantastic sailing as we had a blue sky and a nice and steady 4-5 Bft. Akka constantly went along at 6.5-7 knots.
After a couple of hours we had to reef though as Akka prefers a small head sail. Still we managed the 48 miles to Tallinn in about 8 hours.
