We made the short trip from Björkskär to Ängskär in perfect sunshine. There was not a lot of wind though (which was used by Victoria to get a “sizz”in). But as soon as we arrived the southerly breeze got-up (not a lot mind you) and we found it difficult to find an spot for the night. All possibilities to anchor were exposed and we had to motor around the whole of the island to finally settle down near some stugas.
Perfect cinema though, as it was midsomaraftonand the Swedes had the sailing boats decorated with buntings and used the sauna while the kids were splashing in the water.
Ängskär is another beauty. A lot of vegetation for an outer-island but breathtakingly Swedish with all the little red houses. Of course the weather helped and painted everything in vivid colours.
We then got Nils out to do some sundown-cinema which was again beautiful as always.
