We are currently on Björkskär which is currently my favourite island. We are moored up on Skinnbroken, which is off the “normal” anchoring place on this Skär.
As soon as you arrive you get this sense of out-of-space-landscape. The rocks are all very smooth and round and covered in orange lichen. They create little pools of water that are teeming with wildlife. In between you find wild flowers trying to survive the harsh environment out here.
Victoria pointed out that a landscape gardener would have a difficult job to re-create this set-up.
