Yesterday was the perfect day to actually go sailing! I have been on the boat now for 1 1/2 weeks but only yesterday did I find some time to sail. Things are different this year and my workload is much more so that the holiday part is a much smaller one. But I can’t complain, can I.
Perfect weather and champagne conditions to sail from Vaxholm. After various work topics that I started at 4am, I finally manage to leave Vaxholm at 11am and set sail for Svartsö. An easy 3-4 Bft from the west brought me without stress to a little bay that is new to me. wonderfully sheltered and full of wildlife. I arrived at 4p
m to enjoy my cold beer and a wonderful evening on deck.
I also took Nils for a paddle to explore the islands a little bit. Bastu (Sauna) is also available and I am sure we will be coming again.
A magical spectacle to see the evening very slowly setting in for the night. It is close to mid-somar, so the days are very long and it hardly gets dark at all. In a tranquil spot like Kalviken/Svartsö it is even more impressive to watch nature go to bed.
