It is almost over! Yesterday we sailed from Vaxholm to Ramsmora – the final sail for 2014. A beautiful day although it felt very much like the beginning of autumn. It was sunny and warm in the sun but the wind has now got a bite to it that indicates the end.
Here you can see Tashi enjoying the warm sun on her face (Note the blanket)
There is a very narrow passage near Grinda which is not much wider than 10 meters. It looks scary and small and as you approach it strangely becomes narrower and scarier. As we headed for the passage we noticed two other boats lining up too. So we slowed down and let them pass. But as we got closer we saw about another 10 boats heading for it. It felt like being on spaghetti junction.
One of the jobs we have to do before Akka is lifted out is getting the sails down and pack them for the winter. Obviously they should be dry before packing. With Ramsmora, our winter harbour, in sight it started to rain though. It didn’t last very long but it meant that we had to dry the sails afterwards. Hoisting them and letting them flap in the breeze was the last sail-action for Akka in 2014! It felt a little bit sad.
The main sail flat on the ground and ready to be folded and packed for the winter.
ooohhh its always sad, one period ends but ….the other begins.. and we have you back in town. Its comfortable on our terace, so lets start making autumn fire in the fire bucket and drink warm beer…ooh nooo… lets drink ….wo..
We want to come and watch the chickens pottering about while we drink warm beer out of the fire bucket and eat the terrace! There are compensations!
Ooohh the chicken, sad Story. Two of them met the marten and they ended up in marten dinner. So just two left,….
Oh no! This is very sad – Jag är ledsen 🙁
