I have been on the Ganslernhang today. (For those not Austrians: The Ganslernhang is the traditional slalom slope in Kitzbühl).
I left Lido shortly after 8am and the northerly wind was there as expected. Up went the sails and we went down south to head for the very nice canal between Yxlan and Bildö. Beautiful sailing in changing weather. All the way we had 2-3 Bft and – we just creamed south.
At the end of the canal there is a very narrow and twisted course to follow. This stretch is about 6 nm long and really beautiful. It requires a concentrated navigation as it is really tight. This is the Ganslernhang of the Stockholm archipelago.
At the end I turned right, north of Ingmarsö and passed the north harbour, where Victoria and I spent almost a week five years ago.
